PerfectDisk 12.5 Released

PerfectDisk 12.5 is now available. This new release is free to all PerfectDisk 12 users. PerfectDisk 12.5 is free to all licensed PerfectDisk 12 users – even if you are not on Support & Upgrade Protection. If you are a licensed PerfectDisk 12 user, you are entitled to PerfectDisk 12.5 at no charge.

For all PerfectDisk 12.5 components, there are enhancements to OptiWrite that provide up to a 20% improvement in OptiWrite performance, as well as bug fixes.

PerfectDisk 12.5 Professional for home consumers includes the Space Management features described below.

All other versions include both Space Management and Peer-to-Peer Remote Capability described below.

Space Management

  • Duplicate File Finder: recovers disk space by detecting and removing duplicate files such as text documents, pictures, music, and videos.
  • Recycler: purges the Recycle bin and removes temporary files so that your drive remains clutter free.
  • Space Reports: lets users view graphical and statistical reports of file usage and allocation.

Peer-to-Peer Remote Capability

  • Remote Control: allows users to take control of any client running on a remote computer with the power to access features normally only accessible via a local client.
  • Remote Management: allows users to make on-the-fly changes to client configurations and behaviors without the need to use Remote Desktop.
  • Console Integration: supports direct connections to remote clients via the PerfectDisk Enterprise Console.

  1. How do I upgrade to 12.5?
    I have a valid license for version 12. I installed the 12.5 trial over 12, but it doesn’t accept my license key anymore.

    If you have a valid license for 12, you should have received an email last week with a new 125. license key. If you did not, please contact Customer Service and they will take care of you.

      I took knowledge of your new version 12.5 of Perfect Disk.
      I have bought the 12 version on 01,08.2011, and paid the
      software to Cleverbridge, their invoice nº AKD-73612918802.
      According to you all users os the 12 version are entitled to upgrade
      to 12.5 free of charge.
      As I am satisfied with your software, I would live to have the last version.

      My order for PerfectDisk 12 Professional was placed in the Raxco Online Store on 06 June 2011 21:24 and my Raxco Order/Reference Number was 204471943. I have emailed Raxco Support to request a new 12.5 license key, and the system generated an enquiry Ticket Number 197-16952B8D-008F.

      But so far, I have received no reply from Raxco Support and have not been issued with my new 12.5 license key. Can you help please?

        As far as I can see, every aspect of the new application works flawlessly. I have successfully done things such as boot time defrag (MFT, Page file) that I had never tried before.

  3. Hi there!

    I have downloaded PD Pro 12.5 Trial today over the Company Website. After installing, the Program tells me that i´ve got 10 Days Trial-time left. Other Websites telling me that it should be a 30 Days Version. Don´t get me wrong, a full Trial for testing Purposes is always appreciated, but 10 Days to compare is a little bit low.

    • Hi Marc,

      Thanks for your comment. We have recently modified the trial for PerfectDisk from 30 to 10 days, and some sites that offer the trial may not have made the appropriate change in their description. We have found that most people have been able to make their decision in the 10 days we are now offering.

        Thanks for your Answer. Trial Period doesn´t matter no more for me. I have purchased PD Pro. It outperforms my previous tested/used Defragmenters by Day one on the Windows Partition (faster Bootup, quicker Sys reactions), and also on my Game Partition with an I/O heavy Game (nearly instant Texture load, smoother Gameplay in general), after setting up PD for my needs. Tests with HDTune are outstanding too. Congratulations and thanks for that great Program. PD does what others only promise. :)

    Hello, I TOO bought a 3-pack PD 12.0- Pro upgrade on June 16,2011, and although I have sent out 2 emails, one through your support weblink, and the other from my email address and listed all the information associated with Cleverbridge, I have not heard back from you about a New License Key. I have 12.5 installed and it works GREAT, but I only have 3 days left in the trial. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

    almost every 2nd post on this blog is related to delay/lack of support for PD software.
    I’m not exception. Did you upgrade your support team or teach them to support customers (not “support”!)?

    Can’t get any response from support on request regarding upgraded key for PD 12.5 for WHS 2011. Reference #28579612.

      WHS is not updated to 12.5. Most of our users have the Bundle, which includes v12.5 of Pro. If you do not want what you have purchased, you can receive a refund.

    when you download the current version it is called pd12_whssa and the file version is 4.0.100.1190 the home and pro are 12.5 and have the same file version number but the product version is different?

    I guess this is the best place for support… I’ve also emailed support for the 12.5 License key, but no response. I purchased the WHS 12.0 bundle (WHS and Pro) on 6/10/11 reference number: 23376722. Would like to upgrade to 12.5 if possible. Thanks in advance for your help.
