Sadly my Windows 8 pro (RTM) boots up a lot slower since defragmenting the drive with the latest version of PerfectDisk 12.5 PerfectDisk also does not open as quickly.
Hi John, I have submitted a support ticket to customer support for you. They will be replying to the email address you provided here. Thanks!
My two hardware RAID arrays (Raid1 for Win8 and RAID10 for data) were amazingly fragmented when I installed SP5. The OS array was sluggish, and I was looking at SSD options.
I set the two arrays for SmartPlacement and let PD spend the night defragmenting them. I was very surprised by the improvement in boot, program loading, and search times. In fact, I no longer find myself thinking about SSDs, which is a testament to how well your software optimizes OS drives.
I do not remember seeing such an improvement with earlier versions of Perfectdisk on Windows 7.
Great to hear — thanks David!
