PerfectDisk and Windows 8.1 Support

PerfectDisk and Windows 8.1 supportWith Microsoft’s preview of Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2, there is a lot of renewed excitement in and around the Microsoft and Windows communities. While reviews were decidedly mixed with the launch of Windows 8, there seems to be a much more positive vibe all around for Windows 8.1. Will it be enough to really kick start new Windows and PC sales? Time will tell, and the pundits are mixed on that as well.

In any event, I know those of you with Windows 8.1 are anxious to run PerfectDisk in that environment. I have good news on that front. PerfectDisk will provide support for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 well in advance of their general release from Microsoft later this year.

The PerfectDisk development team is putting its final touches on support for Windows 8.1. PerfectDisk 13 will be released later this summer and will include this support.

I’ll be posting more about PerfectDisk 13, but wanted to make you aware of our plans for Windows 8.1.
